QPR and Burnley, how many pts does BFS need?

I can't stand Allardyce but the football this year is better (which is not difficult to be honest) but we still only have 7pts from 6 games, that relates to 45pts at the end of the season if we carry on as we are now. Yes we have played Spurs Liverpool and Man Utd but none of them have set the world on fire this year so far. We also got knocked out the League Cup my Sheff Utd at home.

So my question is how many points does Allardyce need to take from the next 2 games at home to QPR and away to Burnley to stop the pressure mounting again?

The team needs maximum points and four points is the minimum requirement. Our record against top six clubs is such that we rely on taking points from those teams around and below us.

We've played Spurs, Liverpool,Man Utd and Southampton. All top ten sides.

We got results away to Hulls and Palace which what we need to do against these type of sides. QPR home will be our first easy fixture. It's a must win to show progress.

Neither of these games will be 'easy'. Anyone can beat anyone and we are NOT a top side but are improving.
We should be aiming to win every game of course but it's not a foregone conclusion we can walk these games like some make out. It's not a disaster if we aren't winning every game.
I can see QPR getting something off us to be honest just because defensively we look really average and our keeper is also average.

Nothing to suggest we won't create chances ourselves but we really need to be ruthless.

We're playing fairly well and picking up regular points there is no "need" involved here at all stop obssessing about the manager maybe and choose to enjoy the team instead.

Don't know how many he needs but he should be aiming for 6 definitely. Play like we have the last 3 games and we shouldn't have a problem getting maximum points.

But this is West Ham..

You seriously think that Sam will be sacked if we keep playing like we have done?

If BFS keeps us in the division, G&S will be happy. If we keep playing attractive football then the fans will be happy. If he does both his job will be safe. Simple as that.

Nothing short of 6, we are playing well with only defensive slip-ups holding us back. Time in these two games to really demonstrate that we are on the up!

I think it's a bit early in the season for this. We are playing so much better than last year, which should be enjoyed and appreciated.

we've got a great run of games between now and xmas, if BFS gets the selection and tactics right i could see us being right in the mix (top 8) leading into the new year.

not felt this optimistic in a long time

If it's zero,one or two, the knives for Allardyce will be out again with a vengeance. Even three points means we will have lost to one of the crap PL teams. So a minimum four is my requirement.

if we beat both, we are right in the mix for 6/7 place, maybe higher depending on the other results in next two weeks

OP makes it sound like Sam is a couple of games away from the chop. Just not true, is it? You can ask how many points he "expects" but not how many he "needs".

We really do need to take advantage of these 2 games and make sure we win them. No excuses. 13 points from 24 and we are set up for the season..
